Tummy Tuesday 11 Weeks

11 Weeks

We got to see our little nugget again this week. We decided to do the early pre-natal screening which includes an ultrasound and blood draw. It is crazy to think just a mere 4 weeks ago he/she was just a blob, and now you can really distinguish body parts. It's a real baby in there!

His/Her hands are fully formed, and will soon open and close into fist. We got a picture of 5 fully developed fingers (next to a sweet alien face)

How amazing is that? How incredible is our God? In 9 short weeks, He has created this!

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. Psalm 139:13

Baby #3 is almost fully formed, at just over 1 1/2 inches. As we saw on the ultrasound he/she is already busy kicking and stretching- this kid is going to be a mover and shaker that's for sure. It was hard for the tech to get the correct pictures/measurements she needed- stubborn little booger!

We should get the results from the lab by the end of the week, which hopefully include gender!

As for momma, I am feeling a little better. There is a light at the end of the tunnel! With the girls I felt sick until about 16 weeks, and overnight it just went away. This time the "puny-ness"  progressively got worse and is now easing up. Hopefully by next week we will know gender!

Tummy Tuesday 10 weeks

And here we are, 10 weeks (and 5 days).

I have no hit the "Is she fat, or pregnant" stage. Oh What Fun!  And you know what else come along with this stage? Beloved maternity clothes! I will not be buttoning pants until 2017 (because I fully expect to not fit in my jeans at 3 months postpartum- set your goals low and you won't be disappointed)

Something else fun happened this week

The world found out Peeler Baby #3 is on his/her way!
3rd Wheel Arriving in September!
By 10 weeks Baby P has completed the most critical parts of development, now the tissues and organs will rapidly grow and mature. He/She is a whopping 1.5 inches long of which his/her head is 1/2 of! His/Her finger nails are forming (bye-bye webbing), and he/she is also beginning to develop hair. Already, our baby looks and acts like a baby!

Another Doctor appointment tomorrow! Maybe I can talk Chase into the early blood test to find out the gender (although, why wouldn't it be a girl?)

Tummy Tuesday 9 weeks

Baby P #3 is trucking right along, 9 weeks (and 5 days) to be exact.

Our newest addition is nearly an inch long now, about the size of a grape. Although by the size of that bump at night you would have thought he/she was the size of an avocado. :) Our little grape is beginning to look a lot more human. He/she has earlobes, a mouth, nose, and eyes (although they will not open for another 5 months). The embryonic tail is now gone, and the baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are in running high gear. The skeleton is forming, but the bones are still soft. He/she is poised and ready for rapid weight gain now!

Let me just take a moment right here to say from here on out I will just refer to this baby as a "she". No, we do not know the gender of the baby, but I would be SHOCKED if it is a boy. My symptoms are identical to my pregnancy symptoms with both the girls. And when I picture this baby, I picture a girl. I know girls, girls are natural to us, so this baby is a girl... or at least in my head at least she is.

Overall, I am good. Just extremely tired all.the.time. We put the girls down around 7:45-8 and I head straight to bed too. Eleven hours of sleep is not enough these days. I have bouts of nausea occasionally, especially if I get hungry. So I'm eating like every 2-3 hours (which could the reason behind the bump, not the baby... just sayin'). I also developed an umbilical hernia when I was pregnant with Margaret and it is painful from time to time. Doc says I will have to have it repaired after I deliver this baby, unless it because a problem before, then I have to have it fixed during pregnancy which she doesn't advise unless absolutely necessary.

Tummy Tuesday

Baby number 3 is on his/her way!

And there is already a bump... Hey Uterus, you lost your crap waaayyy to early on this one!

This probably comes as no surprise to most of you. Chase and I are pretty open about wanting a large family and a 2 to 2 1/2 year age gap works well for us.

I took a test (or 2, ok, maybe 4?) at the very end of December that confirmed that in true Peeler fashion we can talk about having another baby and it happens.

If anyone is noting our reactions to a positive pregnancy test it goes a little something like this:
Baby #1: Nervous Excitement followed by tears of joy
Baby #2: Elation followed by laughter
Baby #3: High-Five followed by a diaper change

Off to the doctor we went the first week of January. She confirmed what we already knew- I was about 4 1/2 weeks along with baby #3 who has an ETA of September 8, 2016. The doctor was a little concerned since it was so early and  I have a history of miscarrying, so she ordered blood work that day, and wanted me to come back in 2 days for additional blood work to make sure my progesterone was at an appropriate level and rising.

All results came back with in a normal range- so up next an ultrasound at 7 weeks.

Isn't that the cutest little blob you have ever seen!

The ultrasound confirmed I was exactly 7 weeks along with just one baby, and the baby was measuring a due date of Sept 8th- the same exact day the doctor calculated so looks like Margaret and baby #3 are going to be exactly 2 years apart.

After leaving the doctor, we starting sharing the news with our family and friends starting with our girls.  Mary Claire's reaction might be one of my favorites.

"Mary Claire, do you know what this is?" (showing her a picture of the ultrasound)
"Ummm..... Nope..."
"It's the baby in mommy's belly! You are going to have another baby sister or baby brother!"
"Good, I asked for a brother for Christmas, you know"

Well played Mary Claire, well played.

Over all I am feeling good. Really, really tired- by about 3pm I am done being an adult for the day, and by 7pm I am a zombie.  And I get kinda queazy at times. No food really ever sounds great, but if I get hungry then I feel sick, so I am eating pretty frequently. (hints why I have already gained 10lbs)

So, yes, we will have 3 children 4 and under. Yes, we will have 2 kids in diapers. And yes we are excited. Even if it is another girl. (Especially if it's another girl!)
