Tummy Tuesday

17 WEEKS

Momma is feeling really good. My energy is back up, and so is my appitite. I'm also starting to feel little baby bubbles which is about the best thing in the entire world! My hernia hasn't been too painful (yet) so all is well in Mommy Land. My hormones must be raging though because I cry at the drop of a hat. I am a total crier anyway, but this is a little rediculous.

When I was pregnant with Mary Claire I was VERY opinionated and high strung- not as much with this kid. I am a lot more passive. I "let it go" which is so unlike me.
ie-
- Chase makes us late for Church... whatever we will get there when we get there.
- There is dog hair ALL OVER my house... It's good for Mary Claire immune system right?!?!?
- I have 4 loads of laundry to do, a sink full of dishes, and 4 shirts to applique... I think I will go take a bath.
- We moved in our house over a year ago and I still haven't found an entertainment center... but the bookcase on it side works just fine.
I sure hope that means this kid will be laid back too.

Meanwhile in Baby Land---
Baby P is about 5 inches long and weighs about 5 ounces- growing like a weed. I am hoping that my belly will start to fill out my maternity clothes soon- Because I can't keep them up, but sure as heck can't button "real pants." I'm in that akward inbetween stage which is a great excise to wear sweat pants everyday (let be real, like I needed an excuse).

Tummy TUesday

Just like with Mary Claire, I am myself again at 16 weeks! WAHOO! Feeling much better and finally have some energy. Still "feeling this pregnancy more," but over all much better. I finally broke down and got out the maternity pants- I won't have to button pants until the end of they year now. Jealous?

Not sure if this is considered "feeling the pregnancy more" but this kid has given me a hernia... literally

I have 1.5cm umbilical hernia. Doc said nothing I did "caused" it and there was nothing I could have done to "prevent" it either. It just happens. Good News: I will never have to have it repaired, Bad news: It will hurt more and more the bigger my belly gets. And I was so worried about my belly button popping out and showing through my shirts. God sure does have a since of humor!

Baby P is 4 1/2 inches long and 3 1/2 ounces, but is about to hit a big growth spurt and triple in size in the next few weeks. And I will begin to feel him/her much more.

You know that saying, "They didn't have cool stuff like that when MY kids were little".... well I had my first of those moments this week. It was consignment sale week this and of course I meandered through the baby stuff even though we don't know the gender yet- and I found this bad boy!

How cool is that baby tub?!?! "They didn't have cool stuff like that when Mary Claire was little!" It is all hard surfaces (so you can clean it better) but the holey part is a silcone-ish material that is soft, but wont mold. GENIUS! I had to have it- even if it was blue. So, what if it's a girl you ask- then she will bathe in a blue tub... and if it is a boy then he will have a pink flower swing. Thats how we roll round this place.

(side note: I been 16-17 weeks both pregnancies during the consignment sale- Just before finding our boy or girl... BOO!)

Tummy Tuesday

Guess who has 2 thumbs and got a good prenatal check up?

This girl!

Only up 4lbs, 150bpm, and everything looks "perfect." All the aches and pains are just because "You always feel a second pregnancy more." Thanks Doc. Next visit is the much anticipated ultrasound.  The longer and longer I am pregnant the more I think it is a boy. Guess we will find out on the 11th :)

Tummy Tuesday

This Tummy Tuesday post is technically a Tummy Wednesday post. I would like to blame it on I was too tired, too sick, or some other good excuse- but nope... it was pregnancy brain. Just plain forgot.

My sickness seems to be subsiding, but still tired and no energy, but this is nothing compared to how tired I will be come 6 months :)

Baby #2 measures 3 1/2 inches and 1 1/2 ounces- about the size of a lemonThe experts say I shouldn't be able to feel him/her yet but I swear I have felt little baby flutters this week. Even if it is just "digestion bubbles" it makes me smile. I have another Dr's appt this Friday and I am looking forward to asking if all the aches and pains are normal. They have told me time and time again they are very normal, but I would just like to hear it again. Not to mention hear my sweet little lemons heart beat.
