Tummy Tuesday

30 Weeks

Margaret is getting bigger and bigger if you can't tell. She is approximately 15.7 inches long and 3 pounds. From now on she is just packing on the pounds and getting ready for the outside world. Only 9 weeks and 2 days left, but who is counting.

How is her nursery coming you ask? Oh... it still needs trim, paint, carpet, doors, and fixtures. No big deal.

Momma P is feeling great overall... HOT but great. Heart burn isn't too bad, legs cramps are almost non existent, and my hernia isn't too painful. But I do feel like the first trimester fatigue is back. I am really tired, and get worn out easily again. I don't ever remember getting tired again after I got my second wind with Mary Claire- but this time... WHEW... Is it bed time yet?

I had my first "sprinkle" this past week. The sweet ladies in my bunco group showered Margaret and I with lots of gifts

So quickly you forget how little (and stikin' cute) newborn stuff is... My goodness this little girl (and momma) are very blessed to have such sweet people in our lives.

Tummy Tuesday

29 Weeks

Margaret is now around 2.5 pounds and 15 inches long. Her muscles and lungs are continuing to develop and mature, and her head is getting larger to make room for her growing brain. She is getting more and more active by the day- yesterday she had hiccups for the first time (well that I could feel anyway).

My thermostat must be turned way up- I mean seriously did someone turn on the oven? I am hot ALL.THE.TIME. Which is very out of the normal for me.

Poor Margaret is already getting the "second child shaft" and she isn't even here yet. She was going to get a brand spankin' new nursery- complete with new furniture, new crib, new rocker, new everything. BUT her big sister had other plans. Mary Claire sleeps perfectly in her crib. We put her down at 8pm and don't see her again until after 7am, so I sure wasn't going to mess with a good thing. I wasn't going to change a thing in Mary Claire's nursery and make her grow up her any sooner than she has too, but last Friday morning I went to get her and she was straddling the top of her crib and yelled, "MOMMY! I ride horsey!!!" Why yes honey, yes you are. So I guess it's time to move her to a big girl bed. She wasn't trying to climb out, but still she could have fallen out and gotten hurt. Now Margaret is getting Mary Claire's hand-me-down nursery and Mary Claire is getting the brand spankin' new room. Thats just how the cookie crumbles some times I guess. Poor Margaret.

Margaret isn't getting the shaft on everything though... Mommy has bought her quite new things just for her.

I have a weakness for baby girl accessories if you can't tell... Shoes and Hair Bows!

Tummy Tuesday

28 Weeks
Side by side comparison of Mary Claire and Margaret

About the same- so far these 2 pregnancies have been very similar. Textbook I dare say.

Margaret is now around 2.25 lbs and a little over 14 inches long (approx the size of an eggplant). She can blink and bat those beautiful lashes she is now sporting. Her eye sight is still far from developed but she can see light filter through by belly. Kinda crazy to think there is a real live baby in there that will turn into a toddler full of personality like Mary Claire. But even crazier than that is she is will be different- not a carbon copy of her sister, but her very own person. She will look different, sound different, and act different than Mary Claire. So hard to invision another baby girl that isn't Mary Claire. Can't wait to get to know her!

I had another doctors appointment on Friday. She is still "perfect" of course. :) I got the TDAP shot this visit- apparently new since I had MC- not too bad, just a sore arm- whatever is takes to have a happy, healthy baby! So great hearing that little heart beat every 4 weeks. But after next appointment I will be on the 2 weeks appointments- AH! home stretch... literally. Doc did say that the burning sensation I had around my hernia could be an indication of additional weak areas that would need to be fixed 2-3 weeks after delivery. no bueno....

Over all Momma P is great! Most of the discomforts I had before are very minimal this time around- very little heart burn, nightly leg cramps only come about once a week, and best of all NO nasty, dark belly line! (yet)  But as I enter the 3rd trimester I am really feeling pregnant. Being pregnant in the summer is a totally different beast than being pregnant mid-winter. I'm HOT... like all the time. And this "medium pregnant" like I am now is how I remember in the final few weeks of being "big pregnant" before. And I have to go to the bathroom at least once every hour or so. I'm already waddling (just so my thighs won't rub together) and I never waddled with MC. The kiddy pool is my favorite place to be right now. Sorry to my neighbors who have to see the beached whale in our front yard.

Workers haven't been here to work on Margaret's room all week, but we have plenty of time. 12 weeks.... thats plenty of time to paint, install doors, carpet, molding, fixtures, AND decorate right?!?!? it's going to have to be because that is our only option, but I'm ready to nest.

Tummy Tuesday

27 weeks
Rounding the corner of the 2nd trimester! Hard to believe that on Thursday I will be in my 3rd trimester. Wow- this pregnancy has flown by. Still feeling really good. The heart burn has been much better this week and so have the leg cramps. Now that my allergies aren't acting up my hernia is feeling much better too. Pregnancy brain is still very real, and my balance is off which I have a filling is only going to get worse- Bring it 3rd trimester!

It is crazy to me all the other mommas of 2 year old that are pregnant or just had a baby. There are 2 friends in MC's class, 2 friends at gymnastics, and countless other friends that are all having babies now too- First all my friends get married then we all have babies- Oh the evolution of friendship.

Margaret is now almost 2 pounds and 14 1/2 inches long. She is still rolling and dancing like crazy. LOVE feeling my little girl move around. It may be one of the best things ever. I try to soak up every minute because before too long she won't be in there any more.

Her nursery is coming right along. She now has sheet rock! Up next: trim, paint, carpet, doors and fixtures (probably not in that order?). Can't wait for it to be finished so I can "nest."
