10 Months Old

- Mary Claire said her official first word "Bye-Bye". She has been saying MaMa, DaDa, BaBa, and ByeBye for a while now- but it has been more or less just babbling. Now if we say, "Mary Claire, it's time to go bye-bye. She will wave and yell Bye-Bye, Bye-Bye with the biggest smile! It's the cutest.thing.ever!

- She will stand alone for a few seconds now. I'm still not convinced its on purpose, but she does it none the less.

- Still almost walking. She is a rock star at walking behind her shopping cart (starting her off right), pushing her baby stroller, or holding your fingers, but hasn't yet taken her first solo steps.

- We have graduated to more, and more table food. She LOVES maderine oranges, french fries, green beans, rolls, steamed carrots, well actually we haven't found anything this sweet baby doesn't like- and I hope to keep it that way!

- She took her first antibiotics e.v.e.r this month :( Mary Claire came down with a terrible cold the eve of Christmas Eve, and of course we were out of town, and of course everywhere was closed for the night. So we spent Christmas Eve morning at my old pediatricians office. Dr. Sanio told me I get mom of the year award for getting both doses of the flu shot, up-to-date on all vaccines, and this being her first dose of antibiotics. Go Me!

- And maybe the best thing ever.... She gives Kisses! They are the wettest, sweetest open mouth kisses you will ever get.

Love her!

9 Months Old

Look who is 9 months old!!!

New this month:
- MC has mastered crawling with something in her hand
- LOVES stuffed animals, ANY stuffed animal. If there is one in the room she will find it.
-Had a good check up. No shots, and now on the 20th percent in height and weight. Weighing in at 16.7lbs and 26 inches long.
- She will "accidentally" stand up by herself for 3-5 seconds at a time. As long as she is holding something in her hand she thinks she is holding on to something stable?!?!

Many, Many Thanks

We have A LOT to be thankful for this year!

Thanksgiving was a week long event for Mary Claire and me. We went down to Memphis Sunday night and stayed ALL WEEK LONG! It was so nice to be able to spend ample time with all the grandparents and great-grandparents.

One of my favorite pictures from the week. Gran-nannie and PeePaw at our McDonalds breakfast date.

LETS EAT!!!
Chase, Mary Claire and I are extremely blessed to have all of our family with in 1 hour of each other so we get to enjoy Thanksgiving with everyone, and don't have to miss any one's Thanksgiving meal. But that means we eat 3 times on Thanksgiving.

11:00am- MiMi and Peanuts

After the Blessing we Robert and Emily made an announcement that there will be another mouth at the table next Thanksgiving!!!!!

This was Mary Claire's reaction.... "What I'm not going to be the baby any more?!?!?!!?!"

Yummy...

Note the "safety belt"- apparently antique high chairs do not have child restraints? So we improvised with Daddy's belt :)

2:00 pm- MawMaw and PawPaw's

On the road again....eating makes a girl sleepy...

5:30- Gran-nannie and PeePaw's

While waiting to eat we introduced Stacey to the ranger. She was so taken back by country living. :)

WHEW what a wonderfully full day full of blessings.

And no Thanksgiving is complete without Black Friday Shopping at Midnight! Stomach virus and all- we rocked the sales, and got everything on our list.

Never A Dull Moment

There is never a dull moment in the Peeler house. A long series of events have lead us to Mary Leigh and Nick's bonus room! AHHHH!!!!!!

The series of events goes a little something like this....
-I lost my job
-decided to move to AL to be closer to Chase's work
-signed a lease in AL for Nov. 1 (our current lease not up until Dec. 31)
-Our current land-lord found new renters for our condo and let us out of our lease as of Nov. 4
- OOPS- decided not to move to AL just yet
-Crap! Our condo is already rented
- 1 week to find somewhere to live
-decided to live in in-laws camper until we found another house
-ML decided that was a horrible idea and we should live with them
-OK! we are moving in!

This whole house thing happened in like 1 weeks time... Kind of a whirl-wind.

So for now we are laying our heads in Mary Leigh's a Nick's bonus room until we decide where we want to live and buy a house. Where is all our stuff you ask? Oh... it's in storage. :) We have TWO 10x15 storage units at 2 different places (having them together would be to easy, right?!?!).

4 adults
1 teenage exchange student
2 toddlers
1 baby
one 75 lb yellow lab
one 10 lb weenie dog

Bet you are jealous your sister (and brother in law) aren't as cool as mine!

8 Months Old

Look who is 8 months old!

This photo shoot was not one of our best... behold the many face of Mary Claire Peeler.

Mischievous Mary Claire                                    Happy Mary Claire
"Really think I am just going to sit here, mom?"

Bashful Mary Claire                                      Excited Mary Claire

Antsy Mary Claire                                     Discontent Mary Claire

Upset Mary Claire                                   Confused Mary Claire
"Do you really think I want to play with this???"

Unhappy Mary Claire                                       Ticked Mary Claire

And we were done...

This month has been super fun! She has started talking! Not "talking" aka baby babble which she has been doing since about day 3- but saying for real words! First it was ba-ba. Not sure what it means but if she gets really excited (when Libby comes around, I am fixing her something to eat, etc) she starts yelling BA-BA! Then it was Ma-Ma. I don't think she has really "called" me MaMa yet, but she says it- and thats a start. But the most exciting.... DA-DA! And yes she actually calls him DaDa. :) Chase walked into the house from work the other night and Mary Claire's face lit up, and she squealed in delight, DA-DA!!!!! Melt.My.Heart!

She is also even more active. Not only can she crawl at the speed of light, but she is pulling up on everything and walking around the  furniture. Once or twice she has let go and stood up- but I don't think she has realized she can do that yet. It's like she does it on accident.

Goodness! Time slow down...
