Christ the Lord is Risen Today, A-a-a-a-a-lelluia!!!
I would like to say Mary Claire got up this morning to see what the Easter Bunny brought, but instead I have to say Mary Claire got up in what seemed the middle of the night. Guess she was just too excited to sleep and she wanted to get up at 4am to see what the Easter Bunny brought her for the very first time.
He brought her a swimming suit, sun screen, swim diapers, paci's and bottles! Guess he wanted to make sure she was ready for the pool this summer- cause I know Momma is!!!
She LOVED all her new goodies! Check out these grins... she was in a great mood for it being 4am!
Since it wasn't quite time to get ready for church we busted in and woke Daddy up to to tell him the Easter bunny came and then snuggle in Mommy and Daddy's bed a little while.
Happy Baby!
And of course she dozes off right when it is time for mommy to have to get up to get ready for church...
After church we headed to Aunt Mary Leigh's and Uncle Nick's house for Easter lunch and an egg hunt.
Mommy wanted to try to get a few good pictures of Mary Claire in her Easter outfit (a dress her D'D made and her Aunt Mary Leigh and Mommy wore as babies). I knew it would be difficult , but I wanted to try. The follow pictures are the "good ones."
And
...
My favorite picture of ALL!
....
Man! It is sooo hard to take picture of an almost 6 week old where she is looking at the camera and doesn't look mad at the world, awkward, or uncorfortable. Hey- but at least we tried...
After pictures Mary Claire zonked out and slept right through the egg hunt.
But don't worry- Mommy found her prize egg with paci's!!!
And Daddy supervised nap time :)
It was a great Easter indeed! It's hard to believe that just this time last year we decided we were ready to start our family, and here we are one year later as a family of 3! She has brought so much joy to our lives in just the few short weeks she has been here. I can't wait for MANY MANY MANY more holidays with our baby girl.
Anna, congratulations! Mary Claire is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI remember that dress!! Cari-Beth had one just like it! Your mom helped me learn to smock. I smocked that same pattern for Cari-Beth one Easter, and my mom put the dress together.
You are very talented-just like your momma.
Congratulations again,
Penny
